I was trolling through my wall this morning and this post caught my attention. It’s not often the boss gets this type of accolade in the office, let alone on a social network. After reading it I was intrigued to know a little more; so I did a quick interview with the lady that posted this public show of affection for her Boss. Now I  don’t know Jocelyn Taylor, but she must be doing something right in her  management style. That’s what’s up because, in the quest for success  many managers forget that it’s not just about them, but that the team is their most valuable resource.

Why Do you love what you do?

Being Jocelyn Taylor’s assistant is a great job. I learn a lot from her. Working for Uptown has opened a lot of doors for me.

How long have you worked for her?

I’ve worked for JT almost a year now.

What makes your boss special?

She is, in general, a kind hearted person… but a fierce business women. She can talk anyone into an account.

Where do you want to be in 5 years?

In 5 years  I will be the proud co-owner of a boutique-IndiAviv(a combination of mines & my sisters name)

Your advice to other Bosses.

Respect the person that works for you, and they will follow you anywhere.
